People Magnet and How to become One!
Why are smart, friendly and talented people and yet they never rise to the top?
To rise to the top or build a powerful personal network depends on one’s ability not only to establish key relationship, but to gain the willing cooperation of others on whom one depend.
Ways to become People Magnet and make it to the top.
- Connect with others by name.
- Addressing someone by name is the sweetest and most important sound in any language.
- Create a foundation of mutual trust and respect.
- Be interested in helping others get what they want.
- Keep criticism to oneself.
- Be appreciative.
- Offer constructive feedback.
- Praise and critical feedback should be offered until one’s connected at a level of trust and rapport.
- Express genuine interest in other people.
- Listen for the other person’s point of view.
- Assumptions, speculation and guesswork do not give us access to another’s viewpoint.
When we let others do the talking, allowing them to express their view we build a strong and deep personal network.
Concentrating less on what we want to get from relationship and focus on other’s need we become the magnet people.
Magnet people are not about manipulation; it is about understanding and becoming a true leader and a friend.
