The Power Of Your Mind
August 21, 2008 by: Rebecca ChengThe Power Of Your Mind.
You might have until now underestimated the power of your mind – just like two sides to a coin.
The Negatives
We all have been subjected to the influence of a culture that promotes us to give our powers away. Have you wondered how?
Let’s take a couple of scenarios as examples,
1) You get fired from a job. What’s your first reaction? Anger, feeling let down, sabotaged or a million other words scream through your head. But what is inescapable is you feel really downcast. What will everyone think of you? You’ll be so ashamed because society will proclaim you that way.
2) We listen to the boss’s or some guru’s message and we instantly think and feel that has got to be a great truthful message. Yet, the same message delivered by a colleague will likely be met with cynicism. Why?
The answer is very simple. We are conditioned to follow the leader. We instantly have a chain reaction of emotions, feelings, thoughts and beliefs. Our mind would than be engaged in a constant activities within itself. Soon that energy that was not even there before in the mind will soon manifest itself through the entire body.
These are the expressions of the mental stresses into physical symptoms. In some milder cases individuals can get instant headaches and in more serious situations severe or prolonged chronic illness can occur. The extremes in such situations as forced imprisonment, death or extreme changes in behavior have been known to result.
This is a sad time for a lot of folks if their self-worth, self-esteem and confidence were riding on the job that they held and were very good at. This affects who we are. Unless we can learn to detach ourselves from the outcome of the external activities and realize that it is only an experience that allow us to grow beyond our normal self, we will always be caught in this state of no where, no progress, no hope, no growth, no creativity. Our lives are at a stand still.
When Positive.
With all that said about the negatives, what about the positives? Is there any hope for us all? Of course, this is about the power of the mind. Yes, when well trained, your mind is a powerful tool.
What you think is what you can manifest. The power of your mind is potentially incredibly powerful and even dangerous. You can direct it to bring you success or destroy you. You are a living being and so is your mind.
Whatever you so want to achieve you must engage all those parts of you. Our society has so long been focused mainly on our physical selves. We have come to rely so much on our physical strength and capability that we have forgotten our true selves and the true power within us.
Let’s look at two examples of what I’m talking about.
1) You might have heard when a child is in danger the mother has this intuitive feeling and rush to rescue her child. This intuition is our like our soul’s knowingness. Also to add that extended power of the mind, how many times have you heard about the mother lifting the car to save that very loved one?
Imagine, without speaking words or physical gestures we are capable of such communication.
2) Have you ever felt so comfortable, warm and welcome when you walk into a room full of people? This is their love, compassion feelings being projected to you. They are able to do so because we all are energetic beings. We are more than the physical body.
There might have been times when you or someone you know experienced this awesome situation where you and the other person were thinking the same thing at the same time. People usually refer to it as ‘great minds think alike’. When you are so focused on a thought or an idea, that energy is travelled to the other individual’s mind. Is this coincidence?
Our physical being is the expression of us. The physical body is the host that allows our soul, spirit, mental and emotional bodies to experience creation which is life.
Creativity allows us to grow beyond our limited thinking and we become whomever we choose to be. Through experience and growth we acquire new talents, abilities and become experts in various fields.
You can create anything you desire. When you set your mind to focus, to achieve your desire you will succeed without doubt. But drive yourself into action with your mind being free of doubt, no fear of lack and of fear itself.
Try this, before you go to sleep tonight, think and feel something positive and wonderful and drift off to sleep. When you get up in the morning you will feel great. This is also true if you go to sleep thinking and feeling negative thoughts, you will experience fatigue, anxiety in the morning when you get up.
The mind is a powerful tool that is available at all times for you to use it for your success.
